@bretdevereaux.bsky.social In my fantasy moments, I have hopes of local armed state forces interposing themselves, a la the Parisian National Guard in 1848. As hard as it is to fire on “respectable people”, it’s even harder to fire on “fellow soldiers” with guns of their own.
